Wine of heaven?
Today our master was discussing with us a sophist poem in which the poet says that he is drunk because of the love of Allah, he explained to us the expression and why is it used when drinking is forbidden , so he asked us to talk and say our words, it was my turn, I said:
But why is it that to be drunk is forbidden? What in the wisdom of the almighty has made it the apple of sins? isn’t it that when we test the wine of his love and become drunk with it we can no more test any other wine on earth…how can you feel but bitterness in any other wine, how can you trade his wine with another?
I have tested his wine in the desert of Rum valley where a thousand angel gathered and the stars listened to our breaths… in the land where Moses spoke to the Lord I have found the true lord and drank from the wine of his love, and how drunk I became!
It’s when you drink his wine you know why you shall never drink another wine, yes I became drunk and love was touchable… I was the butchered sparrow dancing around the wine of the hunter, my world was dimensionless.
Can you blame me for being drunk because of his love, can I ever be drunk from anything else and shall I not deserve the harshest penalty.
The old Mullah looked at me, I was crying already for I remembered the moments with him, alone in the desert of Rum Valley, when I whispered my wish to the falling star, to never lose that moment, and I never did, I still feel it and smell it and I still remember the test of that wine at that night.
